Cougar Brief
The Cougar Brief is Bishop Reicher’s weekly digital newsletter. It is emailed to parents and High School students and includes important announcements, upcoming events, reminders, and highlights from across the school community.

Email
Email is the school’s primary method of direct communication with families.Lower School teachers communicate with parents and guardians. High School teachers may communicate with both parents and students. School administrators also use email to share important announcements and updates with families and High School students.
Parents and guardians are responsible for checking their email regularly and keeping their email address current in the FACTS Family Portal.

Parent Alerts
Bishop Reicher uses Parent Alerts to send urgent or time-sensitive information by text message, phone call, or email. Parent Alerts may be used for weather-related closures, emergencies, schedule changes, and other important notices.Families are responsible for keeping their contact information current in the FACTS Family Portal so they receive these alerts.

School Calendars
The online school calendar provides important dates, including holidays, early dismissal days, school events, testing dates, and other schedule information.
Because dates and event details may change during the year, families should check the calendar regularly for the most current information.

Lower School teachers and room parents use ClassDojo to share classroom news, reminders, photos, and event information with families.ClassDojo supports classroom communication, but important schoolwide announcements and emergency information will continue to be shared through official school communication channels.

Athletics and Extracurricular Activities
Coaches, including intramural coaches, communicate with parents and student-athletes through SportsYou. The platform is used to share schedules, practice updates, reminders, team announcements, and other important information.
Coaches will provide families with instructions for joining the appropriate SportsYou group at the beginning of each season.
