  • Ways to Make Tuition Affordable

    • Texas Education Freedom Accounts Program (TEFA)
      • Bishop Louis Reicher Catholic School is an ongoing participating school in the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program. During the 2026–27 school year, TEFA has provided meaningful support for many Bishop Reicher families, helping make a Catholic education more accessible.

We recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children, and the TEFA program gives families greater freedom and support in choosing the educational environment that best serves their child. Eligible students may qualify for funding to help cover approved educational expenses, including tuition, materials, and services.

Families who have applied for TEFA should continue to monitor their Odyssey account for award updates, deadlines, and next steps. Families may also contact our school office with questions about how TEFA funding may apply to enrollment and tuition at Bishop Reicher.

    • Bishop Reicher's Tuition Assistance Program
      • Bishop Louis Reicher Catholic School is committed to making a Catholic education accessible to all families. We believe that financial circumstances should not be a barrier to receiving a faith-filled, high-quality education. To support this mission, we offer need-based tuition assistance to qualifying families, with eligibility starting in kindergarten.

To support this mission, Bishop Louis Reicher partners with FACTS Tuition Management to streamline the process of making quality education affordable. FACTS allows us to gather financial information and offer awards based on demonstrated need. To apply, families must complete a simple online application, which includes a $45 non-refundable fee. Once submitted, all required supporting documents must be uploaded to finalize the process. Applicants can track the status of their submissions by logging into their FACTS account at any time.

    • Beacon of Hope Scholarship
      • Through the generosity of donors to the Encountering Christ Campaign, an endowment fund was established within the Catholic Foundation – Diocese of Austin. This fund provides partial tuition assistance scholarships to Catholic school families. Each year, based on available funding, awards are granted to help offset K-12 tuition expenses for families who demonstrate financial need and have children attending Catholic schools within the Diocese of Austin. This program is overseen by the Office of Catholic Schools, ensuring the equitable distribution of funds to support families committed to Catholic education.

        Eligibility Process:

        • Complete an online application through FACTS Grant & Aid by March 1, 2026.
          • For the application to be considered, all documents requested by FACTS must be submitted by the deadline.

    • Tuition Adjustments
      • Bishop Reicher offers tuition adjustments to eligible families. In addition to parish assistance, families will receive the single adjustment that provides the greatest benefit, which may include a sibling, active military/first responder, family cap, or faculty adjustment.

    • St. Louis Catholic Church Parish Tuition Subsidy
      • Families who are active parishioners of St. Louis Catholic Church or St. Philip Catholic Church are eligible for a tuition subsidy from the parish. Eligibility is based on family participation in the liturgical life and ministries, and on financial support (a minimum of $1,000.00 in annual giving to the parish), which is reviewed annually by the pastor and is at his sole discretion. The school is notified of families  who qualify for the subsidy (regardless of income), which is then posted to families’ accounts in FACTS by  July 1st.

A family active in another area Parish will see Parish Tuition Subsidy (typically not below $300) posted to their FACTS account when funds from the awarding Parish have been received by Bishop Louis Reicher.
