Faith is the foundation of Bishop Reicher’s mission and is woven throughout every aspect of school life. Rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church, students are encouraged to deepen their relationship with God, grow in virtue, and live their faith through prayer, worship, learning, and service.
Weekly Mass
Students and faculty gather each week to celebrate Mass as one school community. Through Scripture, prayer, and the Eucharist, students encounter Christ and grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith. Students also participate in the liturgy as readers, altar servers, gift bearers, musicians, and members of the choir.
Daily Assembly
Students and faculty begin each school day together in prayer and reflection. Both the Lower School and High School hold their own daily assemblies, allowing each campus to gather as a community in a way that is appropriate for its students.These assemblies are centered on prayer, Scripture, the theological and cardinal virtues, and the practical ways students can live their faith each day. They provide opportunities for students to grow in virtue, strengthen school community, and begin the day focused on Christ,
Sacramental Preparation
Catholic students in second grade may prepare for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion through their religion classes. High school students may also participate in preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation.Retreats
Students in sixth through twelfth grade participate in annual retreats designed to deepen their relationship with Christ and strengthen their sense of community. Through prayer, engaging talks, small-group discussion, and shared activities, students step away from their daily routines to reflect, connect, and grow in faith.Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
Students in PreK3 through first grade participate in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a Montessori-based approach to faith formation. In the sacred space of the Atrium, children encounter Scripture, liturgy, and prayer through hands-on materials and quiet reflection, helping them grow in their relationship with God.Campus Ministry
Bishop Reicher’s Campus Ministry program supports the spiritual life of the High School through prayer, retreats, service, faith formation, and student leadership. Campus Ministry helps students deepen their relationship with Christ and encourages them to live their faith within the school community and beyond.Bishop Reicher partners with Ablaze Ministries to provide dedicated campus ministry support for our students. Through prayer, mentoring, formation, and authentic relationships, Ablaze missionaries help create meaningful opportunities for students to encounter Christ and grow as disciples.
