  • Why Choose Bishop Reicher?

    • Small Classes and Personal Attention

At Bishop Louis Reicher Catholic School, students are known, valued, and loved. Our smaller classes allow teachers to recognize each student’s strengths, learning style, and areas of need. Teachers, coaches, administrators, and staff work closely with families to help every child grow. Students do not get lost in the crowd—they are seen as individuals and, most importantly, as beloved children of God.

      Dedicated Teachers

Our teachers view education as more than a job; it is a vocation. They are dedicated to Bishop Reicher’s mission of forming saints, scholars, and leaders and bring their knowledge, faith, and enthusiasm into the classroom each day. By setting high expectations, providing personal support, and modeling Christian virtue, our teachers help students grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

A School for the Whole Family

Bishop Reicher is more than a school; it is a community in which students and families can develop lasting relationships. Parents are valued partners in their children’s education and are encouraged to participate in school activities, volunteer opportunities, athletic events, liturgies, and community traditions. When a family chooses Bishop Reicher, the entire family becomes part of the Cougar community.

      Christ-Centered

Christ is at the center of everything we do. Students attend weekly Mass and have regular opportunities for Adoration, confession, prayer, retreats, service, and other faith-forming experiences. Our priests and religious sisters have a meaningful presence in the spiritual life of our school. Beginning with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in PK3 through first grade and continuing through Theology instruction in high school, students are encouraged to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith.

Families do not have to be Catholic to attend Bishop Reicher. However, all students learn about and participate respectfully in the Catholic life of our school. Non-Catholic students are welcomed, valued, and never required to become Catholic.

      High Standards for Conduct

We teach students to respect themselves, one another, their teachers, and the dignity of every person. Discipline is formative, helping students understand their choices, accept responsibility, practice virtue, and grow in maturity. School uniforms promote unity, reduce distractions and social pressure, and help students focus on learning. Our phone-free campus further supports meaningful relationships, classroom engagement, and healthy student development.

      A Safe and Supportive Environment

Student safety and well-being are priorities at Bishop Reicher. Our smaller school community allows faculty and staff to know students personally, recognize concerns more quickly, and provide attentive supervision and support. Safety procedures, emergency drills, technology safeguards, and established communication protocols help us maintain secure and orderly learning environments. Every member of our faculty and staff shares responsibility for protecting and caring for the students entrusted to us.

      A Balanced Education

Bishop Reicher provides a Catholic, classical, and college-preparatory education that develops the whole person: mind, body, and soul. Students are encouraged to approach learning with a sense of wonder as they discover what is good, true, and beautiful. They are challenged to think critically, communicate clearly, develop their talents, grow in virtue, and serve others. Through academics, faith formation, athletics, fine arts, leadership, and service, we prepare students not only for college and careers but also for lives of purpose and faithful Christian leadership.

This is what it means to fulfill our mission of Forming Saints, Scholars, and Leaders.
