At Bishop Louis Reicher Catholic School, our Kindergarten through 5th Grade students grow in a joyful, faith-filled environment where they are known, challenged, and encouraged each day. Elementary students build strong foundations in reading, math, religion, science, and the humanities while developing the habits, virtues, and confidence needed for continued success.

Faith and character formation are woven throughout the elementary experience through daily prayer, religion instruction, participation in Mass and sacred liturgy, music, the Augustine Institute’s Word of Life catechesis, and the Dominican Sisters’ Education in Virtue program.

Our academic program emphasizes strong reading and math instruction. In math, students develop number sense, problem-solving skills, and fluency through the Singapore Math approach. Reading begins with phonics and decoding, helping students grow into confident readers who engage with classic literature, nonfiction, science, history, and current events.

In grades 3–5, science instruction emphasizes critical thinking, data analysis, vocabulary development, and hands-on learning. Students build skills in charting, graphing, and structured diagramming, laying the groundwork for continued academic success.
